Chronic pain is effectively treated with Acupuncture by providing a natural drug-free anti-inflammatory effect, & releasing muscular spasms quickly enabling a faster return to work.

For a number of years I have treated many different conditions associated with chronic pain successfully with Acupuncture.

Traditional acupuncture is a tried and tested system of traditional Chinese medicine, which has been used in China and other eastern cultures for thousands of years to restore, promote and maintain good health. Its benefits are now widely acknowledged all over the world and in the past decade, traditional acupuncture has begun to feature more prominently in mainstream healthcare in the UK.

There is more evidence available than ever before supporting the effectiveness of Acupuncture, with our government recently promoting its efficacy & encouraging doctors to incorporate the treatment within their surgeries to treat chronic back pain.

Research by the Centre for Health Studies, in Seattle, in the US, found that 60 per cent of patients given acupuncture for back pain felt better a year after treatment, compared with 40 per cent of those who were not given the treatment.

Acupuncture can be effective in relieving pain without the side effects associated with prescription drugs; reducing pain and stiffness & helping to improve a sufferer’s range of movement whilst helping to boost energy levels. As a treatment, acupuncture can be easily implemented into a person’s routine and can form an effective part of an overall pain management plan.

I use traditional Chinese techniques incorporating acupuncture & moxibustion, electro therapy, heat & magnetic therapy & ear acupuncture.

Conditions that I have treated & found to respond well to treatment are:

  • Migraine Headaches

  • Sinus & Dental Pain

  • Herpes Zoster

  • Adhesive Capsulitis

  • Tennis Elbow

  • Carpel Tunnel Syndrome

  • Prepatellar Bursitis (housemaids knee)

  • Peripheral Nerve Pain

  • Muscular Back Pain

  • Sciatica, & Plantar Fasciitis
